The Process
Everything is over Engineered for Safety, Strength and durability. Only the best will do. Responsible tree trimming and forest management is used for most materials. A majority of the trees are found on my own land, here in Tennessee. I have responsibly harvested Hickory, Chestnut Oak, Black Oak, White Oak, Maple, Tulip Poplar, and others. They all have impressive color and interesting grains. I mill the wood down to drying sizes and blanks. Then it is placed in my temperature controlled and humidity monitored Kiln to dry. All done right here in my shop. The wood lamp bulb sockets are turned solid brass, brass turned finials, collars and necks. Also Nickle plated when desired. Wires are routed through smooth pathways. Using strain relief, rubber and/or polished bushings, solder tinned wire ends and connections. Sealed with heat shrink tubing. Heavy gauge lamp cord.
Solid and authentic black iron pipe pieces are used for the Steampunk and Iron Lamps. I include either an energy efficient LED Edison bulb that glows through amber glass. Some items benefit from having a traditional filament Edison style bulb. Dimmer switches are custom designed and assembled by me.
Finishes
Since all products are created by me, all options for finishes are available for custom orders. For the look and feel of natural wood with a low to high sheen, I use all naturual oil and wax ingredienedts. I also Odies Oil and Wax which is a terrific, durable all natural finish. Sturdy enough to use on hardwood floors.
Other finishes used are SPAR urethane, Enamel or Lacquer. SPAR Urethane specifically is used to protect Teak and other wood on Sailboats/etc.
I do make my own finish. Natural Oils, pure Beeswax, adding Carnauba wax for more finish hardness. The ingredient ratios are adjusted for a clear or more amber color. Blended on the kitchen stove. All finishes noted in each items description.
Regarding food grade. Oil and Wax is a common option as a finish. Odies Oil is a long time leader in finishes. Depending on use some may need light maintenance. Such as an occasional cutting board oil application. Food grade epoxy and others products are available. Specific information will be in the description as well as included with the item when shipped.
Orders/Custom Orders
Like an item you see, but want a different type of wood or finish, taller or shorter. Just let me know by sending me an email with your thoughts. A sketch or photo could be beneficial for a custom piece. Please keep in mind that I do not duplicate others work. But it can serve as a basic style to begin a custom build.

All products are carefully and properly packed for safe delivery. They will be sent using USPS/UPS/FedEx with tracking numbers and tracking updates. Since each item is unique with grain patterns, bark inclusions, etc. We want it to reach you without any worry. I prefer Shipping with Signature required, or held at Post Office.
Returns-30 day no hassle return. Items will either be shipped with a prepaid label, a link to a pre-paid label, or I will e-mail the label as needed. No Hassle. No fee. Return for any Reason. I want you to be completely satisfied with your piece of Art, Lamp, or any item you purchase.
Repairs- If you dropped it and it got damaged, The family pet took and interest in it and knocked it off the table. I will repair it, accidents happen. I can work with you to get it shipped back, repair and send back. Hopefully it is minor and there will be little or no charge.
Warranty - Limited warranty on parts and labor for one year from date of purchase. Including shipping cost if in the continental USA.
